I’m beyond excited to share that my book, Wild Wonders, is now available! While photography is a major part of it, this isn’t just a photo book. You will also get an introduction to the lives of Yellowstone’s mammals, followed by the story behind each image. Some of my all time favorite images are included, along with some I have never shared before.
Organized by elevation, the book takes you from the valleys to the mountain peaks as you journey through Yellowstone’s diverse habitats. A blend of scientific and creative writing, this book is a combination of all the things I love. I’ve always loved writing, especially pairing it with my photography, so I’m thrilled to finally share this project after nearly two years of work.
As you all know, I love Yellowstone so much, and this book is a way for me to share that love on a deeper level.

When Julia starts describing her first hand encounters it feels like we're chatting over a cup of coffee as we flip through her photo album

This is wonderfully structured, examining each ecosystem found in the park. There is a focus on forests, meadows, plains, and alpine regions. Very clever

I love the personalization of the narrative, where she describes how she encounter all her subjects. I really loved her section on the elusive subjects (I know you'll get them one day!)

Even though I have been to Yellowstone many times and thought I knew wildlife, I still learned so much from this book.
