Wild Spring in Yellowstone

June 8th-13th, 2026

hosted at Skyline Guest Ranch

Venture into Yellowstone as spring breathes new life into the park after the long winter. Hosted at Skyline Guest Ranch, just outside Yellowstone’s Northeast Entrance, we will spend our time exploring Yellowstone searching for wildlife, newborns, and the lush landscapes that define the season. All levels of photographers are welcome; the focus will be on positioning ourselves in the best locations to optimize photographic opportunity while remaining ethical at all times. For more information including a detailed itinerary, lodging accommodations, and booking details, visit Skyline Guest Ranch via the link below. Feel free to reach out to Julia with any questions you may have.

Wildlife Activity

Spring in Yellowstone is a great time to see a variety of wildlife and usually presents the best opportunity to see grizzly bears as they have recently emerged from hibernation. The most commonly seen species in the spring are bison, pronghorn, grizzly bears, black bears, moose, coyote, red fox, and occasionally grey wolves. While wildlife is unpredictable and we cannot promise any encounters, we will do everything we can to maximize our chances of success over the course of the safari.
