Personally used for wildlife photography in Yellowstone
Excellent working condition. Sharp, fast autofocus, smooth focus ring. Minor cosmetic wear from field use, no impact on performance. Clean front glass. Original Hard case included.
I’ve used this lens to photograph wildlife across Yellowstone and has been part of many of the images shared on my page. It’s in solid working condition with no functional issues. The glass is clean with no scratches, haze, or dust, and image quality is great. Autofocus is fast and accurate, image stabilization works properly, and the focus ring moves smoothly. There is visible cosmetic wear on the bottom of the tripod foot that is covered with a tripod plate attached. There are some minor exterior signs of normal field use, but nothing that affects performance or weather-sealing in any way. Reference the images for close-ups of cosmetic wear.
This has been one of my favorite lenses I’ve used and an incredibly versatile lens for Yellowstone or other similar environments. The 300mm focal length is perfect for everything from tighter portraits to more environmental wildlife shots depending on distance of wildlife. It’s been my primary lens for all my wildlife photography for over three years. It has been well taken care of and has always been dependable for me.
The only reason I’m selling it is because I’ve switched to a different camera system. Otherwise, I would absolutely still be using this lens.
This lens comes with the lens hood, front dust cover, rear cap, and the original Canon hard case. I also have a Canon 1.4x teleconverter I used with this lens on occasion I can send as well if you’re interested.
